Ruth Reichl provides an amazing overview of why I personally love New York City in her novel Delicious! She captures the small shops, the knowledge of the owners, the passion of the people—all wrapped into a lovely novel about much more than food. Reichl also introduces us to the world of publishing a food magazine that folds, leaving me to wonder: Did she write about her time as editor of Gourmet?
